Honestly, from the way you drive it really doesn't sound like you need an external cooler. It sure won't hurt anything to install one, but from what you've described, you won't gain any benefits.

You do mention you have a receiver, so if you do any towing that is where you'll see the benefits. Or, rather, you tranny will.

Ordered B&M 70264 SUPERCOOLER off Ebay. 14,400 BTU. Going to ask if our usual mechanic can put it in next time the truck is home for a long weekend.

14,400 BTU ok for a GMC Jimmy 4-door 4x4? Even for towing?

Ok thanks for all the advice, everybody. I'll make the appointment tommorow to get it installed when I am home for the mid-semester break next weekend.
