Default transmission hesitation

2002 chevy blazer 4x4 LS 122000 miles. My transmission is hesitating when first pull out of my driveway in the morning. Minor hesitation in the lower gear for a few miles then seems to go away when the vehicle warms up. Seems to happen most when leaving stop sign. Can anyone out there give me an idea of what this problem is? Thank you

Fluid level and condition would be the first check.
