Default transmission noise

Hello I have tried the search feature but found nothing close enough to my concern. so I'm just gonna ask. A have 2000 blazer 5 speed 2wd. When the clutch pedal is out it makes sort of a rattle noise. Trans fluid changed not to long ago by jiffy lube. I am aware it has a hydrolic Trans, so I checked the resivuor( sorry can't spell ) it's the cylinder next to the brake master cylinder.any way I opened it up and the fluid seemed gunky, I don't think is suppose to be like that correct. Any input appreciated thanks

Can the gunky fluid in the clutch cylinder cause a rattle in the transmission?
