Default transmission removal 95 blazer

i just bought a 95 blazer with a bad tranny and i am in the process of taking the tranny out, i have everything taken off of it, right now it is being held up with the jack, but one of the top bolts... from engine to transmission i cant get at. i can feel it with my hands but cannot get anything else on it, any tricks on an easier way than taking the transfer case apart from the transmisson?

A universal joint and 3 feet of extensions make it easier, but if you are working with limited room under the truck, removing the transfer case is likely in your future.

BTW, one thread on this question is all that is necessary. I have combined them all into this thread.

is it that one on the driverside upper? a buddy of mine was working on one and was stuck on that bolt and he was asking me how to go about doing it. thats pretty much how he did it was using a extension and swivel. took a while though
