Well, after replacing the original tranny in my Blazer with a newly rebuilt one from a salvage yard, it looks like I'll have to go through the whole ordeal again. About a month after replacing the transmission, the transmission stopped upshifting into 3rd gear when in drive. I don't know whether or not the new transmission is to blame or if there is some sort of underlying problem with the electrical control system. In any case, I was thinking about finding a 5 speed manual from an S-10 with a 4.3L V6 and 4 wheel drive and retrofitting it into my Blazer. Has anyone attempted this before, and if so, what transmission would have a bellhousing bolt pattern for a 4.3L V6 and a plate for a transfer case?
