Default Trouble starting car up

Hi, I'm completely new here and I just got a 2000 red Chevy Blazer 4x4 LT.
It's got about 120k miles on it and it still looks brand new. Things were going well up to a month ago with it.

When I start the car up, it takes awhile to actually go on. I also have to keep the key back for more than 1.5 seconds. My time on the clock in the car resets, and all of the pre-set stations as well.
I just got a brand new battery too.

What's going on with my car? :/

Is it the right battery. Because it could be to wimpy for your car.

Are the battery cable connections clean, tight, and free of corrosion?

It's the correct wires, clean and everything. I got the DieHard Gold battery for it as well.
Perhaps I need a new alternator?

I'm having a similar issue with this as well i'm working on doing a complete tune up and seeing if it will go away. I'm getting enough power and the started by no means sounds choked. Just finished with plugs wires, cap, rotar and air Filter. Next is the fuel filter and go from there. Nothing seems to be resolving this though i should clean my terminals to but my starter doesn't seem choked
