Default U joint part number

HelloI have a vibration at the pedal when accelerating over 80 km per hour. It feels like excessive play at the u- joint and a clunking sound when shifting into drive from park or reverse from park or drive. What manufacturer replacement part should I stay away from and how high should I go in price? There seems to be many joints that will work and they increase in price as I go down the list. I assume other than having a grease fitting, some may built stronger than the lower price ones?

I am no expert on these but I recognize Spicer as a good name in these things. If that's an option, it's the one I would take. You'll probably find guys on both sides of the argument on having zerks on them. They frequently come from the factory without and last a long time.

What he said. There are several brands of "good" u-joints, but I always buy Spicer if I can. You can't go wrong with them.

Sometimes it's nice to have grease fittings, but I've also had very good luck with the Spicer Life series joints, which are not greasable.

Thanks for the tips. The vibration was getting worse and worse. The UV at the rear diff was hurting. Everything running well now.
