Default Vacuum Switch

Seems to be some interest in knowing what the vacuum switch looks like and where to find it. Hopefully the attached pics and description of location will help you all out.

The vacuum switch is located between the front driveshaft and the transmission on top of the t-case. You will see three vacuum hoses connected to it.

the below picture shows two vacuum switches. The top one is bad and the bottom one is good. Notice the ball on the right side of the good one? That's the switch.

This picture shows the three vacuum hose ports and the keyway.

Any questions?

4x4 no worky.
In other words your front axle doesn't engage even though the front driveshaft is engaged. It could also be your vacuum modulator (part that pulls the cable that locks the front differential.
