water in oil
Got my 90 gmc 4.3 2wd with water in the oil. Water pump went bad a while back and it overheated. Replaced the water pump and thermostat. When I changed the oil yesterday had some water in it. Is there any way to know what is wrong without tearing into it?
Thanks, I'll try an get that done this week. This has been a bad month. First I had to replace a cv axle in my daughters car, then I finally finished rebuilding the front end of my jimmy, next my wife's mini van needs a couple of tires and an alignment, and now this water in the oil of my truck. And if that wasn't enough I had to put in a new water heater in the house. Now I'm broke.
Got it torn down tonite. Was the intake gasket. My bro-in-law says that when I get it back together to put some seafoam in with the new oil to get rid of any water still in the block. Will that work? Any other suggestions? Thanks
