Replace the water pump? Maybe flush the cooling system and replace the thermostat at the same time.

I was told by my mechanic that if it starts leaking from one of those hole, that the pump is starting to go...

That was my case, truck started to over heat, but pump was somewhat still operational. Swapped the pump out with a new one, and all is perfect again.

How old is the pump?

That hole is what’s called a “weep hole”. It’s placed there so that when the water pump has to much pressure it can release it without blowing apart. It’s normal to have a little here for there but not leaking. It’s definitely starting to go. How long will it last? Don’t know, but I’d definitely replace it soon.
