Water pump under warranty destroyed other accessories
I bought a water pump from Advanced auto, and I believe it had a 1 year warranty on it, but anyways it broke off shredded my belt, the belt got tangled up in my ac compressor, and destroyed it, this is the water pumps fault, correct? therefore Advanced auto should replace everything for free?

good luck with that. no one ever pays out. they will pull some crap like you had the belt on to tight.
we just installed a transmission from advance auto into a dodge ram. the thing didnt shift right, right out of the box. they forgot to install the filter on it and a few shift solenoids inside the trans were bad, when we called to ask about it thats basically what we were told, that it may have been improper fluid installed, we didnt fill the torque converter, etc

Well There isn't any way to have the belt to tight on mine. It's just a pulley that pulls back and it self tighetens to where it needs to. If they don't do the rest of the stuff, I am hoping they will replace the water pump and my surrpentine belt. I'll let you know how it goes.

Most warranties explicitly state, in the fine print somewhere, that liability does not extend to any items besides the one being sold. ie. your water pump manufacturer covered their **** with that little sentence. You MIGHT be able to shame them into something though. Pitch a huge fuss at the counter when there are lots of people there.
BTW your self tightening pulley is called a tensioner.

Usually a big fuss doesnt work. but being polite and speaking to a manager who has some real power does.
