Default What am I looking for.....PLEASE HELP ME!!!

Ok guys, I am sincerely sorry if this is posted elsewhere, I have a really junky pc Im using at the moment and it barely loads anything....I just bought a 98 2WD 4dr Blazer and it blew up today :-(

My question is, without changing anything like heads, intake manifolds, or stuff like that, which years are the 4.3's exactly interchangeable. I was thinking from like 96 - 2000 maybe.....can someone please help?

I thank everyone in advance.

I would shoot for a 98 through 01 motor. 96-97 they were still putting the steel oil pans on, but that is easy enough to swap over. In early to mid 2002, they put in the better fuel injection spider, redesigned the EGR system, and changed the knock sensor attachment.
