Default What else to replace while replacing FI and Lower Intake Gaskets

Hello everyone,
I don't use my Jimmy (2000 SLT 4x4) in the winter so I have been putting of dong my lower intake gasket upgrade and fuel injection. I have had the new FI Spider and the upgrade metal gasket set laying around for a year now but decided to head out to storage to do the swap last weekend. I was following the guide here on blazerforum and made it alllll the way to the first step to drain the radiator and tried for quite some time to get the ratchet to lock in an open the valve, couldn't do it, got frustrated and just changed the oil on my car and went home.
I read on here and other posts that turns out GM didn't put the valves on some radiators and those just had the area where it would be making people like me try to undo a valve that is not there.
Anyway, now that I know I have to pop the lower hose, I will replace all radiator and heater hoses but wanted to ask what else I might as well replace while I have everything off and the coolant drained.

In addition to the hoses, I was thinking about the water pump, maybe the crank position sensor, cam position sensor, maybe even timing chain. I do not know the exact mileage on the Jimmy as that is another problem it has, the mileage display area on the dash either is blank, displays all 8s or partial numbers (if anyone knows or has seen posts of fixes for this please link me), but I got it from a family friend who just parked it so I believe it is under 80k miles.

Thank you for your time.

Water pump isn't a bad idea. I wouldn't worry about the crank sensor because there's no duplication of labor if you have to replace it later, plus you'll need to do a relearn on the new one. Check your distributor for wear, especially on the gear. Aluminum replacements are pretty cheap. Also, if your radiator is at all questionable, this might not be a bad time to replace that, as well as the fan clutch and thermostat.

Thank you for the reply. While digging around I did see the crank sensor is readily accessible, thank you for that as well. I did confirm the truck has 76xxx miles and do not see nor have had any notable issues with the radiator. I forgot to mention the thermostat is new (as it was the issue for my smog pump not working before). I will also check on that distributor and fan clutch.
Thank you,
