What should I do next?
Mine is the old BAFX from 2014. It has at least two lights three I think, and when connected it flashes rapidly back and forth among all of them. I think there is read, yellow, and green IIRC. Definitely a green on mine. When not connected and plugged in it displays a single red light.
It should connect to the Silverado if working correctly, using the same protocol as your Blazer. It should connect to the FORD as well, but using a different protocol.
I would get another BAFX out of Amazon. Are you using bluetooth (Android) or Wifi (iPhone)? I can't remember which one you are using? Not sure if I ever knew. Do you have the correct BAFX for your phone?

I have an Android. The instructions for the BAFX are for iPhone and Android. It recommends Torque app. I have the Torque app but it's hard to connect also, and it doesn't have the CMP pid.
Which BAFX do you have - the blutooth one or the WiFi one? You should have the bluetooth.
If you have the bluetooth BAFX, then get another one. If you have the Wifi BAFX, then get a bluetooth one. They are separate and different devices. AFAIK you need a bluetooth one for the Android.

here's the screenshot I could finally get. I've tried to load a video of it running but I can't get it to accept it. From the noise it's making it's got to have an internal engine problem. I wish I could get it where you can listen to it. At least it's running enough now to load onto someone's trailer, or rollback. Haha.

Most of the noise you hear in the video sounds like it's coming from below the intake manifold. Could the balancer shaft be broken? My biggest concern is, that at mid rpm's there is a secondary noise from below. I guess I need to check compression again.
