Default will a 305 bolt in 95 s10 blazer?

A buddy told me a 305 will bolt in my 95 s10 blazer with the same motor mounts and trany as the stock 4.3. I was wondering if anyone could tell me if that's true or not cause I can get a 305 cheap

You are going to have about as much power as your 4.3 now. Pointless to put a 305 in,unless you build it up,and by then, you might as well buy a decent 350 crate motor.

i put a 350 in a 95 a few years back. i was able to use the mechanical fan BUT i had to modify the firewall a bit, buy engine mount adapters, slide the engine back almost a full inch and put the radiator where the a/c condenser sits lol. so yeah kind of a pain. im just anti electric fan never had one problem. never overheated fan never hit. i miss this truck, i sold it when gas prices got outta control. it was just a stock 350 out of a van. with 4.11 gears and stock tires, it would basically do a one wheel peel all the way to 45 mph. wasnt gonna beat any camaros or anything, especially with the lack of traction but would whoop any 4cyl s10 that tried
