Found a cracked head on my 01 last week after tracking down the P0300 dreaded code. Got another head today and when I took it by my helper he said it wasn't the same. He knows more about this than I do. I asked why and he said it did not have roller lifters. After looking more and both looking identical I asked him why not just put my old ones on this head. He said that would probably work. Anybody know why it wouldn't work and did they make two different heads for this engine? We are putting it back together tomorrow and thats his only day off so if it will not work I will have to scramble to get another head or be down another week. Any help would be appreciated. thanks
