Question advice? trans swap from 01' 4 dr to 00' 2 door??

Hi guys. My 2000 zr2 2 door blazer needs a new transmission, and I found a 2001 4 door blazer with a good working one for cheap (It was someones off-road project and has no doors, thats why) It also has locking front and rear differentials, and I actually need a new front diff too. My friend had his transmission re-built and it cost him about $2500 or something, and I can just buy this other blazer for $750... but would I be able to swap the differentials and the transmission into mine? it has 115000 km on it, mine has about 200 000. any advice on this would be appreciated.

One way to determine if it is a direct swap, is to look at the RPO codes in the glovebox of both trucks. Of course this works only if the tranny has not been replaced in either truck. So ask the owner if he changed trannys. Look for the RPO code that begins with the letter "M". If the code from both trucks have the same code (example: M50), that would mean the same tranny was put in each truck. That doesn't mean other transmissions won't work of course. If you want to respond back with the RPO codes you find that start with "M", I (we) can tell you exactly which trannys your looking at. (Once again, if the trans has not been previously changed in either truck).

The diffs will likely be geared differently. Yours will have 3.73's, the 4 door could have 3.73's but would more likely have 3.42's. Check to find out what gears it has to see if you can swap front diffs.
