I have a 1989 chevy full sizer 4x4 blazer and need to replace the rear differential housing.
I believe that 1989 was the first year of a 30 spline axle and have a new ring pinion and carrier currently installed.
As I cannot find a differential out of a 89 through 91 blazer I need to know what other truck would have a differential with the same dimensions?
I can locate a 1983 Blazer (28 spine and longer axle) and a 1990 Suburban differential (30 spline Axel and only slightly longer axle).
Would one of these work and still be able to use the existing ring pinion and carrier?
Please help!
