I have an 89 blazer and mine is doing the same thing. Today me and my buddy set the timing to zero, but then advanced it a little and it seemed to help some but its still running rough. I've got three different PROM chips and I've tried all of them at different points to see what it might do. I got the truck from a guy who had a family member put the motor in for him after it was stolen from him. So its in rough shape and I'm just trying to figure out how to get it to run right so I can start working on some of the other things I want to like the paint and interior. But if it doesn't run then I have no use for making it look better.
