the throttle cable retainer/clip(?) came off my 1994 5.7l Chevy Blazer, cannot find a factory replacement anywhere (help!), so I used an e-clip for now- will that hold up? do I need to order a new cable in order to get that retainer/clip? not sure what was originally there.....

 

might be able to find them in the help section, if not probably can be found at a junkyard. but yeah if you can rig something up and its not gonna bind or get the cable it might work
