Default 94 full size oil pressure guage woes.

Hey guys. My oil pressure gauge has been acting funny since I bought my blazer 9 months ago. At first it was reading a tad low (sitting at half @highway speeds) but the blazer has been so well cared for that I didn't believe what it was reading. I replaced the sending unit (on the back of the intake manifold) and the gauge in the cluster to ease my mind but still no difference. I was going to hook up a manual gauge but never did.

That was six months ago. Fast forward to yesterday, I'm driving about 90 km/hr on the highway and I notice that it's reading high now. And further more when I give it gas it lowers but when I back off it reads higher.

Does anyone have any suggestions where to go from here? I'm considering changing out entire instrument clusters.

Thanks, Andrew

Put a 'T' in the line and install a mechanical gauge. It really is the only way to determine what is correct.
