Man I wouldn't be supprised if it would be a direct interchange bieng a Chevy and all, but one way to find out is to visually compare the two settups. Look at one with your 700R4 and one set up with the rock crusher. When I do this sort of thing I take a tape measure with me and compare crossmember locations between the two 1st. Over all tranny length will definately be a major factor. As far as whether a SM465 will bolt up to a NP208, don't know, but a visual comparison should tell you as well. Might need a special aftermarket adapter to connect the two. It's a Chevy, you know someone has done this already!

yeah, i guess its a really popular swap, but i couldn't really find any info on it. I did find out that the pedal assembly just bolts right in and when i had my carpet up to weld in new floors, the transmission tunnel had the outline where to cut for the shifter. so i guess its a pretty easy swap. just gotta find everything i need at the bone yard and remember to bring a tape measure. thanks.

That is pretty humorous that there were alot of ford's for sale. It sucks that you couldn't find whay you were looking for. You'll find it when it's time.
