confused about radiator problem?

Default confused about radiator problem?

hey i keep filling up my radiator with coolant and theres a hose going to an overflow tank on the passenger side of the truck right next to the radiator ...but my radiator keeps getting low and the plastic tank keeps filling up is it running hot or is something else wrong?(im changeing the temaopture gauge sending unit in the next day or so )

You can try replacing the radiator cap too

A weak cap will push radiator fluid into the overflow reservoir. Replace the cap and see if the problem persists. If it does, it could mean that you still have air in the system

yeah i kinda bent up the brass around the radiator cap and when it was getting smoggged on the dyno it lost all the fluid out the top and i got a new cap but maybe ehre the cap screws on to the radiator is bad ghow could i tighten that up without gettin a new radiator.....if i do have air in the system how would i test that out it says its holding pressure ...could air in the system make it overheat or would i just go through alot of radiator fluid?
