help i want to change my steering

ok today my dad n me lifted the front end and found the steering box was loose!!
damm i new 84 had loose steering but mine waz riddiculous..haha well steering now is 80% better. but im going to go get it aligned tomorro..once again thanks for your help.

What do you mean by loose? Make sure the frame is ok around the box. The frames are prone to cracking around the holes for the box. I would get a ORD bolt on and weld on brace. I have both on mine and after almost 10 years of abuse that is the only part of the frame in good condition. As for crossover steering, if you plan to wheel it then you will want to go to crossover. With crossover you will not have a sway bar but unless you have super soft springs it's not a problem. Either way I would do the steering box braces.
