Hesitation at start

Hesitation at start
I have a 350 target master with a Edelbrock 1406 (I think it is) Anyway, when I take off from a start I get some hesitation, only from a start. So I have to ease out the gas for a second, then ease back into the gas. If I'm cruising at all, then punch it…. No issues … takes off like a jet. Any ideas ?

Is your timing set to stock?
AIR system may need some service, air pump, diverter valve etc.
EGR could be faulty.
Exhaust leak
Fiddle with carb adjustment? Not familiar with yours.
Sounds like a vacuum or air flow/ fuel mixture issue to me.
