my blazer acts weird. sometimes when i drive for more then 15 miles or so then park, and try to start again it wont start. it has power, but nothing is being sent to the starter. no clicks, nothing. then i let it cool completely down for an hour or so and it starts right up. it has me baffled and as i am sure you can imagine this is very irritating since i drive it everyday...

 

It may be the electronic module that is under the rotor in the dist cap.. take off the cap then the rotor underneath there you`ll see a black plastic piece which unscrews from the housing, there should also be plugs at each end.. try replacing that part..

 

If the starter isn't turning over, the ignition system (with respect to spark) isn't the problem.

I would look into the battery first, making sure that the connections are tight and corrosion free. Depending on its age, it could be a cracked plate or corrosion just behind the posts inside the battery itself.

Beyond that, it is possible that the ignition switch in the steering column could be at fault.

 

i only said module because he said if he lets it cool off it starts again,, thats why i was thinking that part.. its overheating...
