Manual Hubs Lock By Themselves

Manual Hubs Lock By Themselves
Ok, I have an 87 Blazer with manual locking hubs.
When I drive at high speeds the driver side hubs start to lock. They don't engage but from the free position towards the locked position.
This causes a lot of clicking sounds as it tries to engage but can't.
I've looked inside and everything seems fine, I've also replaced the sprint that should keep everything apart but to no avail.
Any tips would be appreciated.

i had a similar issue in the past and the problem was i had a set of superwinch hubs. they had this big metal gear that would push out when lock the hub (some hubs use plastic gears) anyways it twisted onto this spring and for some reason it would slowly untwist off of it causing it to make noise. i just bent the spring a little bit so it jammed onto it. thats the only thing i can think of
