yeah the mounting on the th350 and 700r4/4l60 are the same. 4 bolts. just as long as the output shafts on both transmissions are the same length itll work.

i used a 700r4 adapter on my th350 but had to get a different output shaft installed

turns out mine is a passenger side drop and the newer model 241c i found was drivers side drop...in 4 wheel high it wants to slip out of gear when throttle pressed aggressively, but will stay if held back and in place, same thing when in 4 low but its harder to get it to slip out of low..bungee cord pulled shiftr back and it lasted the winter...i swapped the autolockers with warn manual locking hubs hoping that wouyld fix it but it didnt...we have always worked on hotrods n such but 4wheel drive and transfercases n stuff is kinda learnin as we go.i have 350 /350turbo with 241c passenger drop.bolt on 350turbo compatible cases??thanks p.s. shifter seems fine

Yeah, the 4L60E was never offered in the older passenger side drop trucks so any transfer case that would be found behind one would be a driver side drop as you have found out.

Have you made sure that your transfer case is adjusted properly?

The adjustment procedure that I was able to dig up for the 208 & 241 transfer case states to put the transfer case in 4HI and the shift lever in 4HI against its stop. With the adjusting nuts loosened up, place a 0.200" thick shim behind the swivel and tighten the rear jam nut against the shim. Then remove the shim and tighten the front jam nut against the swivel.

That should get your transfer case shift linkage adjusted properly. Worth a try.

your turbo 350 tranny is a short shaft ......the t350/700R4/4L60 adapter works for NP203/208(passengerside drop) and NV241/243........your 89 K5 should have come with a NP208......or at least thats what my 89 burb has in it .adjusting the linkage is easy ...but you may want to check the detent ball in the case itself.

Default trying to get in 4hi is making me 2low

thanks for info guys.sorry i made thread in wrong place.i will check the shifter and adjust by above instructions 8) when the stock tranny blew guy dropped a 350turbo in vs. get a replacement stock one.kills gas milage but ive gotten used to both the better acceleration and the raping at the gas pump.i always assumed that if a transfercase went bad there was no getting it in "gear" at all, and if it could be manipulated into "gear" it must be problem in the shifter or shifting "sytem".in my face, i guess, for assuming.i found 1989 blazer brochures that shows all of that years models and option packages.it says the 241c was stock case and should of went to a 4 speed w/ od (4i60e).mine was fully loaded aside from a trailor brake option and has the auto hubs quad front shocks.does anyone know the different cases that bolt on to a 350 turbo? or had similar 4x4 problems? many thanks
