RE: Need help with tranny not shifting after mudding
I dont have any idea what tranny I have. I was told its a 350, and its an auto. Other than that I just know its a 77 k5blazer. I just got it two weeks ago, and Ive never had a truck before. Im a car guy, and Ive always had newer cars that I can pretty much let them diagnose them selves. How do I tell what tranny I have, and how do I tell what is supposed to go on that "t" fitting. It looks to have been open the whole time Ive had it, at least it always sounded like it was open and making a suction sound. So I dont think anything fell off of it, the vacuumline that goes to the tranny is still there and doesnt appear to be leaking or cracked. What else could cause this issue. And if the car is running and the tranny fluid level is at the cold line, below the hot line, am I low on fluid or not? Thanks for the help guys.

hey guys, does anyone have pictures of what to look for when I take the trannypan off the tranny to change the filter and look for cloggs valve bodies or whatever I should be looking for? An explanation and/or pictures to show what Im looking for will give me a little confidence when I pull off the pan and see if anything is stopping up anything. Thanks. And where should I get a new filter and pan gasket, autozone carry that stuff or do I need to go to a truck shop or something. thanks
