newbie looking to change rear end gears

Default newbie looking to change rear end gears

my question is that i have a 90 k5 blazer running 41 13.50 with a 8in lift just bought the blazer within the first 5 miles blew the carrier out of the rearend thinking i might need to change the gear ratio un sure what was in it but dont belive it was right belive i saw online it came eqipped with 323 but not sure

Step 1 - Throw away the stock 10-bolt axles
Step 2 - Buy Dana-60/14BFF
Step 3 - Fill them with 4.56 gears

yeah your gonna need at least 4.56 gears but if you throw those in a 10 bolt the teeth are gonna be really small and youll just blow them up. tires are way to big for those toothpick axles. i can see them lasting if you just putted around town with them
