I HAVE A 78 K5 BLAZER. SO WHEN I BOUGHT IT THE 4WD WAS TOUCHY THEN A BOLT CAME OFF THE BARS OF MY LINKAGE SO I REPLACED IT. SINCE ITS BEEN SLIPPING INTO 4WD, NOW I CANT EVEN GET IT BACK IN 2WD. JUST PUT SOME GEAR OIL IN THE TRANSFER CASE. WONDERING IF MAYBE THE BOLTS ARE NOT SITTING IN THE RIGHT POSITION

Default RE: PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Because you state that you have trouble getting it back into 2wd, I will assume that you have the NP205 transfer case.

Here is how you adjust the shifter on this transfer case:

[ol][*]Put transfer case lever in 4HI detent.[*]Push lower shifter lever forward to 4HI stop.[*]Install rod swivel in shift lever hole.[*]Hang .200 thick gauge cover rod behind swivel.[*]Run rear rod nut against gauge with shifter against 4HI stop.[*]Remove gauge and push swivel rearward against nut.[*]Run front rod nut against swivel and tighten.[/ol]
