power steering pump wont fit !

Default power steering pump wont fit !

Just put in a 1990 350 from a chevy van in my 1982 K5 problem is the power steering pump braket wont line up with bolts on engine. Any suggestions ??

The problem is that the '90 motor came with the factory serpentine belt setup while your '82 had a multiple v-belt setup. There should be the bolt holes you need, however, you may have to remove a stud from the driver side head. The water pump is likely not equiped for the mounting of the pump bracket so you would have to swap that out.

any one know how to remove a power steering pump from a 1990 full size r\v series blazer i have the steering lines off and the bolt in front loose but not out cause i have not removed the pulley yet? how many bolts or any help Thanks..........

I believe there are 3 bolts in the front that are accessible only by removing the pulley.

i think the powersteering pumps on vans are shaped differently. when i did a s10 v8 swap a while back the 350 i used came out of a van had to use a pump out of a k5 due to it hitting the frame
