Default Rear Brake question

I was going to put my -82 K10 in the garage today and as i was to drive to it i wasnt able to get the truck moving. It wanted to move forward but something was holding it stuck.

After som troubleshooting we came to the conclusion that the Left Rear tire was locked down.

Driving forward = left rear Tire wouldnt move.
Driving Backwards = All working perfect.

I was told its probably the drum break acting up since when driving in reverse it doesnt lockup the tire, but I really like to get some words from you guys what you think about it.

definately sounds like you either have a broken spring jammed in between a shoe & the drum, or your left rear parking brake cable is stuck. might even be the PB lever inside that is jammed. time to beat off that drum and inspect it.

make sure you check both sides, and replace the same parts on both sides, even if it's only failed/siezed on the one side.
