rear window stuck

Default rear window stuck

Just bought 1990 fullsize blazer and rolled the back window down and now it wont go back up. motor wont even try. Power to roll down but not up. Any help? Need it up before it rains. Thanks Shane

hi, take the plate off your tailgate look inside with light sounds like something is caught or jammed. if not its window motor time. good luck bubba

Check the wiring to the switches in the latches, they tend to rust and break.

Like bubba says, take the inner tailgate cover off first and have a look to see if you can see anything obvious first.

ha my 90 does the same thing only its wont go up or down, its stuckhalfway.i hear the motor trying, its almost like window is off track or something. but i didnt even see where there is a track, just seems like the gears came disengaged or something. hope someone has a fix for us

It might be your actual rear window switch. I looked at mine nice and close yesterday and found my problem was a broken switch.
