Rim swap question s10-k5
And just to close the loop here, even tirerack could be used to determine bolt patterns used. Simply put in your truck and see what rims pop up, but that goes back to knowing what you have...
All S-series have a 5 bolt on a 4.75" bolt pattern.
The 1/2ton 4wd SFA K5's (67-91) have a 6 on 5.5". The military version 3/4ton and 1ton K5 came with an 8 on 6" pattern.
The 2wd K5's (67-91) have a 5 on 5" pattern.
The IFS 1/2ton and 3/4 ton pickups used the same 6 on 5" pattern, but the hub diameter was reduced for the unitized hub/bearing assembly which means that the newer rims will not fit on the older SFA trucks without opening up the rim. This can be unsafe if done incorrectly so find someone that knows what they are doing before considering purchasing the newer rims.

wouldn't a 4wd 1500 from those years you gave me fit without drilling. cause didn't they also have lockouts for the hubs. or were they smaller in diameter? (when i say smaller in diameter i mean the opening the rim allows for the lockouts to pass through)
