Default soon to buy

Hello blazer owners I'm about to buy the 79 blazer in my profile picture I want to start with the motor because I live in northwest ohio and I have nothing but snow in salt to look forward to so the smart move would be the motor its a bone stock 350 I want it to be. A daily driver with a nice sound and get up and go when needed. From what I hear getting the 350 to breath better can show nice inprovements with out killing the wallet so what should I start with vortc heads?

Thanks for replying first of all and what set up would you use with a fresh build in front of you?
