I have a 1990 K5. and i need a new column. i found one for 50 bucks but its out of an 87K5. Will it fit?

 

Yes it will fit. Some of the stuff maybe different but should interchange between the two. I have one out of a 91 k30 and its the same as all the other k5 ones I have laying around. Only problem I ran into was the clips for the ignition switch wwas different but the wires were the same color so I just spliced in the different clips

 

mine is a tilt column...does it matter if the one in the 87 is not
