Question Tailgate Power Window Cable - 89 F/S Blazer

Are there any clips or other devices that hold the window motor cable securely in place inside the tailgate or does it is just freely hang in there? I have called the dealer, scoured my Chilton's and Haynes, internet, etc., and can't find an answer. Help please!

Just hangs there according to the illustration manual I have. You'll want to tighten down the nuts with the cable flexed away from any possible interference.

Well hell, it just went from a simple lube job to the window now stuck down due to the cable binding on the non-motor end. The cable absolutely will not budge the window back up with any means I've tried. I obviously have to go buy a cable, as the cable spun inside the sleeve, but I can't get the window back up to change it out. GRRRRRR. Thoughts?

You may have to unbolt the window from the track and move it up out of the way.

Off to my friend's race fab shop. Also just ordered a new cable from LMC - you are a wealth of information and I can't thank you enough for your help.
