Default Torque converter question

81 k5 94ish 350 with comp cams 268he trickflow intake Holley street avenger 670cfm th350/np205 3.08 gears with 33” tires.

Just put in new transmission with 2000 stall converter. I’m pretty sure trans is going out again. The truck is my daily driver. What would cause the trans to go out so fast around 500 miles on it. I don’t dog the crap out of it just normal driving.

When i rebuild the trans and np208 that came out of it what converter should I use.
Speed limit around here is mostly 60mph when stock trans was in it 1,800 rpm at 60mph. Now with stall it’s right at 2,000 rpm. Is the stall what ruined this trans so quick?

How's the fluid level? Did you have a lockup or nonlockup converter? What temp is the trans running under cruise?
