Very confused
Well i brought this up about my truck being sluggish..but i think the reason is due to the fuel running rich and the constant missing on the motor...i mean this thing takes a mile just to get to 45 mph..and when it warms up and you get on the thottle the motor has a whole different tone..and it sounds like its trying to fight against you....i replaced all the common sensors...oxygen, MAP, ECT, and this fixed the sluggish part partialy but a couple days later it comes back but worse...i mean i cant even hit 65 anymore...so i am lost at what to do or where to go..so does anyone have any suggestions???

Have you set any codes? Why is it missing...plugs, wires, compression, vacuum?
Do you have a plugged exhaust?

I'll try to have a look under the hood of my '90 on Wednesday, it's fuel injected but it's at the bodyshop. My other trucks are carburated.
Does it make any difference if the engine is cold or warm.
Sorry for such slow response, I'm very busy with work and spring projects right now.
I was just reading your other post on valve lash adjustment. Did you adjust the valves and if you did why did you need to adjust them?
I'm starting to wonder if you have a worn camshaft which caused a clicking from the rockers and is creating a low vacuum in the engine....which would affect the map sensor reading and accelleration.

The distributor isn't loose by any chance? Just wondering if you might have changed the timing.

RE: Very confused
try checking for exhaust flow. is there a cat converter after the y pipe.??? if so it will be a bead type. its garbage so take it out and put a straight pipe if legal in your part of the world, or a high flow cat works good too. next put a 24 inch body magnaflow 3 inch with mandrel tail pipe. youll get nice sound with better acceleration. let me know if you have it fixed. I have a few more tips if this doesnt help.
