Your opinion has nothing to do with actual physics, thus has no point being stated here.

This is extremely hard as you need to find another blazer and cut out a section that is an inch or two larger than the hole you patched. Isle 24 at The Home Depot has self tapping sheet metal screws but they are so hard to find you should just not sorry about it.

And ... when was the last time you saw the top of your fuel tank? How is it going to rain up there? Mud, really? You'd have to drive very hard and very deep into some serious holes to get mud packed up there. Some simple primer or rust preventative coating will keep it shiny new for years to come.

I agree, cutting can be hard... but this is under the floor and covered by carpet, far from trimming the fenders or even the door panels for speakers.

I'm not sure I follow here. The pickup will have the bed floor exposed. The tanks are also not located in as awkward a position. And if we're talking about Chevy's the tanks aren't even under the bed in some cases.

Very true, it is not going to kill you but it could smash the crap outta your hand, wear gloves!

Not trying to be hard on you buddy but some of your answers just don't make sense, lots of holes. Not saying that you're wrong, just saying that I don't agree.

I was told that if I replace the pump I need to replace the sender too. If this is true it just doubled the cost of the repairs... Something about the new stronger pump and the old weaker sender. Don't know, not an electrician. And that it could be the next to go anyway and you don't wanna have to drop the tank twice. Also told I need new tank straps. I kinda agree just because they are probably rusted to all hell and that adds another 50 bucks at least to my now growing total. Any thoughts?? I appreciate everyone's feedback

If you drop the tank the job is big enough to replace the sender too in my opinion.

I'm dropping a 40 gal tank out of a suburban this weekend. I don't know if I'll be able to clean it or if I have to replace it but either way I already ordered new straps from rockauto.com their prices weren't that bad, you should look them up. Be careful of items that ship from different warehouses though, the prices are cheap but the S&H can add up.

Alright.... Got a new pump, sender, and filter. replaced them all. Truck still won't start. and if it does start it won't stay started. I've been thru hell the last couple of days with this and I'm getting pissed off and discouraged. But anyway, according to process of elimination it has to be something between he TBI and the filter thats the problem. everything on the *** end it working. I'm thinking injectors. Car will still turn over with the use of starting fluid so I'm assuming the spark is still good. I'm sunburnt, my hands are all cut up and I'm caked in dirt and grease. Any further suggestions?

Do you have a carb or is it fuel injected?

Wow... Nicely done... The second post by the OP in this thread answers your question which is why 70-K5 responded as he did. Armed with that information, what sage advice do you have to offer?

Absolutely nothing, I know nothing about fuel injection but have had troubles with my carb that were very similiar but a smart *** response got a smart *** response. So I see you are one of the big fish and apparently you condone smart *** responses. I welcome you to kick me off this sight, I was just trying to help was all. Apparently from seeing 70-K5's other posting he is a master blazer mechanic so my help is definately not needed.
