1993 s10 blazer fan clutch broke off
I was accelerating to get on the highway and had a little clunk under the hood. Checked and the fan clutch seemed to brake off causing the fan to puncture the radiator. I’m writing this forum today to find out what would cause this and what I would need to replace, if anything other than the radiator and fan clutch?!

Clutch was prob wore out - you didn't realize it and it finally gave up the ghost.
For starters - radiator, maybe shroud, maybe the belt, fan clutch, the fan itself, and prob water pump and anything else it destroyed on it's way out from under the hood.

It did seem a little out of balance from what I can remember. I checked to see if I needed a new one the other day cause my truck was overheating when sitting but while driving it would cool down. It just spun when I checked it so that means it was bad. Just a tad too late. Thanks fellas

Ya when you spin it by hand there should be some resistance but still spin, lack of any resistance and free spin or locked up it's shot. By over heating while sitting still it was free wheeling, Oh well hope it didn't destroy much - I would at least replace every thing I listed above ..... Well maybe not the shroud if there is no seen damage
