Default 1995 Engine to Blazer 1999

Hi everyone, I need your help, I've blown my blazer 99 engine, due to an oil leak in the cooling hose, and I'm in a budget for now i a can only afford a 1995 4.3l engine, but I'm not sure if I can make the direct swap, would you recommend to do the swap or should I wait to get more money for a 99? Thanks in advance.

Ps. Sorry for my bad english.

It's not direct. And the engines are different. I have a thread discussing this exact thing. As my engine just got swapped. I own a 99. You can get to it thru my profile if you click on my name. Or search engine differences.

Thanks I saw your post, I think I'll try to find a 96+ engine to avoid more complications. Thanks for your help! Much appreciated
