2000 Blazer Zr2
Hello,
I finaly think I will be moving up soon from the cavilier I have been driving. We were looking around and I finaly found a vehicle that I really like. It is a Chevy Blazer Zr2.
It has 166,000 on it, is white and is in really good body and mechanical shape. Unfortunatly the car dealership want's $5,995 for it. Seems like $5,000 would be where it should be at.
I may not get that one due to the price(depends if they can get talked down enough), and it has a lot of miles, although it doesn't look like it mechanicaly. Everything works except for the power mirrors.
I am just looking for any opinions on these vehicles, anything you guy have to say would be much appreciated.
Thanks!

I have a 2000 ZR2 that I have owned from new. Look around on here and you'll find the most common problems. You can also go to zr2usa.com for ZR2 specific stuff, though it also covers the S10 trucks.
$6K is a bit too much with that many miles and being 9 years old. I'm sure you can talk them down. I'd think a fair price would be around $4500 for it. I'd almost guarantee the only gave about $3000 on it when it was traded in.
The number one thing you will miss going from a Cav to a ZR2 is MPG, in a big way. When mine was stock I got 18 mpg on the hwy so you should expect something close to that. They are great trucks for offroading, depending on tire choice. Chevy did a pretty good job building a stock vehicle for use offroad.
If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask!

Thank you for the great response,
Yeah I know that the price is way too high, I don't know why they do that.
My Cavalier does terrbile with MPG anyways, around 18 in the winter, and 22 right now. So I guess I am kind of used to it.
Do you think that the 166K with be a big problem with this vehicle?
