2000 Jimmy w/98,000 miles
i have a 2000 jimmy thats completely stock. the reg maintenance has been kept up with. it runs good and everything works. ive been searching around and found alot of good things i can do with my blazer. but being a college student i need some direct advice i guess you can say. what are some mods i can do to my jimmy? im getting new tires soon cause i need them. nothing special just whatever fits on the factory wheels. i have a radio in it and better speakers so dont need to worry about that. im probably getting tint this weekend. i want to make it 15% all the way around. anyway what are some things? im open to all suggestions i think.
thanks

Let me ask you this -Instead of wondering what mods to make to your truck, why not wait until you've had it a little while and decide what it is you don't like, or just want to change, and then decide what you want to do? That way you'll be pinpointing your spending and not just throwing dollars at it.

ive been having it for about a year. just never had any money because i was in high school and didnt have a job. now i have a job and have some money to spend. theres really nothing i dont like. i mean i like the truck alot. the headlights and taillights sound cool. i might look into the clear corners too. what kinda decals you got in mind?? also i was thinking about what i dont like. i really would like me to be able to hear my exhaust. i searched on here and found alot about custom jobs or whatever. i dont just want to buy a muffler and switch out just that. i want a exhaust system with a tip n all. all new piping if thats what you call it. and no not new headers. just the muffler and pipes. so you know of any good systems??

For the lights - Look at pictures of members' lights here on the forum, go to Ebay and shop around. There are lots of sellers.
Exhaust - If you have a shop near you that handles different brands, go talk to them and tell them what you want in the way of sound both inside and outside your truck. The guy I went to gave me three recommendations when I did that and then I made my choice.
You can see what I did in those areas from my signature below.

I looked at their website and no, I didn't see anything specifically listed for the 2dr, but the kit they showed for the 4dr showed only the muffler and exhaust pipe. The pipe would be longer than for a 2dr, but that shouldn't be a problem. Any good muffler shop can make the exhaust pipe for you.

after some more searching I think i might like the Gibson system. the part numbers are Aluminum=14520 and the Stainless is 614520. Has anyone had these or heard these before? Is this muffler good??
thoughts?

also does anyone know of some cheaper alternatives for an exhaust system. Im kinda more into wanting sound(loud but not high pitch).

Not trying to sound snotty, but it's kind of like saying "What speakers sound the best?" Exhausts sound differently to various people. Go to the manufacturers' websites, some of them have sound clips (I know Flowmaster does) and some forum members have posted sound clips. Listen to them, look up prices on the Web, then go talk to a good exhaust shop. Decide what you want to spend and make your choice. That's about all I can tell you.
