Default 2002 4.3 Vortec

Running great good oil pressure running nice and cool then Saturday morning got to the end of the driveway and blue smoke started rolling out of headed down the road and it cleared up a little and then started again and has slowly gotten worse and worse blue smoke is usually oil but people are telling me head gasket but it is not losing coolant and not getting water in the oil you guys have a good guess or should I pull the intake and heads and can I just do the head that giving the problem or that cylinder on a budget also I think the engine has been changed because the oil filter is underneath the vortec snorkel where you can't get to it so I went to the passenger side and pulled out the PCV hose and used a skinny funnel to put the oil in when I changed it I thought maybe it was sucking the oil up through that pipe into the intake I had a 305 Camaro that the oil return holes had clogged up and it would smoke like crazy then clear up and start again and my friend told me to pull the valve covers and clean out the oil return holes and it cleared up also with it matters it's drinking a whole lot of gas
