So I have heard a lot about why only go to a 32-inch tire vs a 31. So, I have to maybe give a little from my personal experience. Although the tires are similar and only an inch difference there is a difference in tire. But for me it wasn't about to go big or go home. I went with 32's because of different reasons. One, the wear and tear on driveline and wheel hubs. Bigger wider tires put extra strain on components and didn't want to hack things up with going taller 33's. wanted something to fill the wheel wells and help with handling and so on. Second reason I went with 32's because they are better than 31's. I can say with my experience that going to 32's has helped feel the road better and handling is better in wind. They fill up the wheel wells and no modifications were needed. I did trim the front valance just to give extra room but did not have to. Strictly cosmetic reason. Just to show the difference in 32' vs 31' I have included pics of my blazer on 31" KM2's vs the new KM3's in 32x11.50 I hope this shows some differences and help those who want to go to a size bigger tire and nothing else. I have say, I miss the white letters. Please note that this is a ZR2 only thing I did long time ago was torsion bar crank and 2" shackles, nothing more. The tire increase may not work for everyone and will be different for every vehicle. So what works for my application may not work someone else. Just wanted to show difference in tire size for those considering upgrading. I also changed gears from 3:73's to 4:10 to bring everything into normal ranges in rpm. Just a few hundred rpms different nothing crazy. Again, gear change was for added weight and to get rpm's in the oem range. I didn't have too and the 3:73's would of been fine but had to change bearing and seals so with things torn apart why not upgrade gears. Anyways, gears are a different story, this is mostly about tire size and difference between 32's and 31's 31 KM2's before 32's on left and 31's on right you can see a big difference. 32 KM3's after 31 KM2's before
