I think that curb weight is without any liquids (cooling system, oil, trans, washer, fuel, etc.) also that is just the general number with the base 4x4 probably. So the iron diff, the larger rear gears, etc probably add a bit. Also that front brushguard is probably a good 100-150 pounds is my guess, so who knows.

Brush guard shouldn't weigh that much... It's a one man job to install them...

In Alberta, anyway, anything 50lbs or more you're legally allowed to say "no" to lifting by yourself, lol.

Maybe the 8.5 is a beast...

Still, someone should go weigh theirs!

Edit:

A ZR2 Blazer has a curb weight of 3885lbs... (Edmunds lists a regular 2 door Blazer @ 3885 as well... Must be for the auto...)
A 4 door Blazer is 4134lbs...
And for fun, an Xtreme weighs in at 3712lbs

"Curb weight is the total weight of a vehicle with standard equipment, all necessary operating consumables (such as motor oil and coolant), a full tank of fuel, and not loaded with either passengers or cargo."

For the record, when I took my brush guard off, I could lift it in one hand, so... Yeah, I guess my truck is just fat, lol

GVW isn't the weight of your truck...

It's how much your truck can weigh, loaded down, I believe.

Was all this weighing done before the new engine or after the blowout and replacement? Could be something different through there...I can't really figure out what would be different though [8D]

And GVW on my Blazer and my Range Rover is about the same, but the Blazer weighs much less than the Range.

Oddly enough, the Range can tow more...V8 and what not I suppose...Unless that would be impossible, and I've just got my figures all jumbled in my head...I'll double check that.
