Brush guard shouldn't weigh that much... It's a one man job to install them...
In Alberta, anyway, anything 50lbs or more you're legally allowed to say "no" to lifting by yourself, lol.
Maybe the 8.5 is a beast...
Still, someone should go weigh theirs!
Edit:
A ZR2 Blazer has a curb weight of 3885lbs... (Edmunds lists a regular 2 door Blazer @ 3885 as well... Must be for the auto...)
A 4 door Blazer is 4134lbs...
And for fun, an Xtreme weighs in at 3712lbs
"Curb weight is the total weight of a vehicle with standard equipment, all necessary operating consumables (such as motor oil and coolant), a full tank of fuel, and not loaded with either passengers or cargo."

I'll be more than happy to help your truck get on a diet by taking that nasty old heavy iron front diff off your hands. Heck, I wouldn't even charge you a penny for it!
One thing I didn't see mentioned was what kind of wheels you have on it. There can be a pretty big difference in the weight right there. Plus if you have a receiver or any other add ons.
