Hey guys, So lately i've been contemplating a new motor for the Jimmy. I came across this site which offers turnkey engines and saw the 5.3L with the z06 cam for about $3,000-3,500. Has anyone heard of these guys, or does anyone know of a company more local to the east coast that offers the same motors? I am looking for something drop in, plug and play. I know the 5.3 is virtually a drop in engine for the 2000s and up, so i'm just weighing my options here. I'm torn between the 6.0L suburban motor and this one. Any ideas on preference? Thanks guys!

I highly doubt an LS engine is "drop in and turn key" on any s series trucks...

 

If you like to have A/C, plan on notching the frame. You will also need to move the radiator for a few inches. New motor mounts. New PCM. New y-pipe/exhaust. New cross member for tranny/transfer case. New drive shafts.

Many other "new" parts. Far from a drop in.

But WELL worth it as I hope to do it sooner rather than later!
